NEW YORK, NY—Aragon Construction, New York's premier general contracting and construction management firm, has begun building Pine Brook Road Partner's newly-leased 17,000-square foot office space at One Grand Central Place, the 55-story W&H Properties tower in the heart of the Grand Central District at 60 East 42nd Street. Pine Brook Road Partners, LLC is a New York-based private equity firm established in 2006 to make business building and growth capital investments, primarily in the energy and financial services sectors. Currently located at 100 Park Avenue, Pine Brook is scheduled to move into the new state-of-the-art space – which comprises the full 49th floor and half of the 50th floor at One Grand Central Place – immediately after its completion in April. Aragon has teamed with architectural firm Watson & Associates in this gut renovation project involving the construction of 25 high-design private offices, three conference rooms, one boardroom and two amply equipped pantries. "Everything is being built with extreme precision and meticulous attention," says Ramon Ocampo, Associate Architect at Watson & Associates. "The design elements are very detailed and sophisticated, and include such features as very highend millwork and enhanced, fabric-wrapped panels in the conference rooms." In addition, the space will boast custom Anigre wood cabinetry throughout the reception and office areas, Vivid Product glass partitions in the conference rooms and a custom staircase with a glass and millwork railing fluidly connecting the two levels of the office. Aragon is providing state-of-the art communication, IT, security and audio-visual systems to maximize the office's technological capabilities. Ensuring the total acoustical privacy of each office was of the utmost importance to Pine Brook. To achieve this, Cerami & Associates, a trendsetting acoustical consultant firm, became an integral member of the project team. Working with Aragon, they added acoustical duct lining above the conference room areas to minimize HVAC noise, and installed multiple layers of sound-damping dry wall throughout the offices.
