Alex L. Getelman, Aragon Construction’s President and Founder, began his career in the late eighties working for a recognized New York City interior Construction Management and General Contracting firm.  His initial job was a position in the estimating department. Learning dynamically, he grasped the concept of how projects became profitable and the techniques used to deliver them on schedule. With the desire to become well rounded in the overall business, he was trained in the field as Site Superintendent and ultimately promoted to a Senior Project Manager. Through these roles Alex was responsible for the successful completion of numerous exclusive retail build-outs and large corporate interiors.

After a decade of lucrative accomplishments, Getelman realized it was time to follow his own vision. He saw a need in the marketplace for unique service and a commitment to excellence from start to finish. Using his experiences and passion, he formed Aragon Construction in 2000. His goal was simple: provide the best quality service at any cost. Starting with a large project right from the onset, Getelman turned the landmarked production and distribution site for the New York Post into a storage facility for Manhattan Mini Storage. The successful outcome of this 250,000 square foot project set the bar for Aragon’s ability to focus on specific and unique projects within Manhattan and the Tri-state area, allowing his company to perform at a superior service level to their competitors.

Since then, he has completed hundreds of challenging, multi-layer projects for many of the country's most prestigious companies. He continues to spend countless hours enhancing the performance of Aragon, hand-selecting each staff member to ensure that they possess construction management expertise as well as superb client management skills. He also maintains close contact with his clients throughout the life of their projects and beyond, personally visiting job sites to gauge the progress of their work.

Alex earned his B.S. in Business Management and also holds a Construction Management diploma from the NYU Real Estate Institute. He is actively involved in numerous industry-related trade organizations, including the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), BOMA and CORENET and was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the AHRC New York City Foundation. He also serves on several committees -- and as a major sponsor -- for the Foundation for Fighting Blindness, Capuchin Food Pantries, and the annual Emmory Reagan Shapses Classic.

He is a devoted husband to his wife, Kristine, and a dedicated father to his two children while residing on Long Island.
